DataCrunch Visual
Throughout its datacenters, DataCrunch deploys carrier-class and fully redundant Cisco Catalyst 6500 and 5500 series switches with full internal and external BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) routing. Within each rack, multiple Cisco Catalyst Enterprise switches are deployed with STP (Cisco Spanning Tree Protocol) and HSRP (Cisco Hot Standby Routing Protocol.)

Our SAN (Storage Area Network) is centered around HP Proliant high end servers with SmartArray controllers with hardware assisted RAID with multiple battery backup packs in each write cache. Our SAN is set up with multipath and bonded connectivity for maximum throughput. The arrays are formed from multiple redundant high speed SCSI harddrives with online spares.

Our servers are HP Proliant systems with SmartArray RAID controllers and redundant SCSI harddrives. Internet connectivity is secured via bonded connectivity, SAN connections are running via two separate subsystems for improved availability.

Multisite hosted systems comprise of VPN (virtual private network) link connecting all computers in hosting pool subsystem via secure direct connection. All transactional log shipment as well as data replication is done via VPN connections to ensure that data is not compromised in transit.

At DataCrunch, we pride ourselfs in running on high quality hardware. If your host is terse on information or does not want to reveal the specs of their hardware and number of websites hosted on each server, you should consider switching to a reliable host.
